The Key Items for the Best Party in Quarantine

Parties shouldn't be cancelled this year - they're just celebrated differently! Get ready to have fun on your birthday, anniversary, graduation, and much more!

Decorations

  • Dig up old pictures and decorate a wall. You can also add it to a string and hang them around the room. Create a photo booth.

  • Paper flowers and hearts

  • Make a colorful sign for the front of the house. Streamers on the mailbox.

  • Balloons

  • Sidewalk art with chalk

  • Pull out the Christmas lights! Why not? :)






Themes → Games and activities

  • Picnic: Bring a blanket, throw pillows, and lounge chairs. Make lunch outside.

  • Camp night or Bonfire: Grill meat and veggies. Make s'mores and homemade lemonade. Bring light blankets and pillows.

  • Movie Night: Serve popcorn, candy, and drinks.

  • Have a Netflix party where you and your friends can watch at the same time virtually.

  • Decorate the living room like it’s the movies by setting up a ticket booth, concessions, and the theater.

  • Date Night: Romantic dinner, dress up, light candles.

  • Game Night: Board games, karaoke and dancing, download apps (ex. Heads up, Taboo), scavenger hunt for kids, yummy snacks and drinks.

  • Costume Party: DIY costumes from materials you have at home.

  • Art Studio: Painting, Drawing, Drinks.

  • Cooking class: Find a YouTube video and try a new recipe. You could make pasta from scratch. There's an endless number of recipes!

  • Spa day: DIY face and hair masks, manicure / pedicure, take a relaxing bath.

  • Beach day: Turn on the sprinklers, fill up a small pool for kids, water balloons, tanning, bring out a beach ball and beach towels.

  • Field day: A day filled with sports, obstacle courses, and fun games in the backyard.

Food

  • Cook your favorite dinner. / Bake a dessert.

  • Wake up earlier and make a delicious breakfast for the person being celebrated.

  • Order at a restaurant or fast-food that has curbside pickup.

  • If you have guests and want to serve food (after the disinfecting process), provide individual items that people can grab and throw away on their own, such as ice cream sandwiches or cups, snack packs, soda cans or small juice cartons, and cupcakes.

Guests

  • Surprise zoom or face-time meeting with loved ones

  • Drive-by: Guests can decorate signs / their car and drive up to the house by respecting social distancing rules.

Gifts

  • Online shopping! For some items, Amazon has a gift option that sends it to the address you provide. You could also ship it to your house and drop it off. Mail a card.

  • Make your own gift. Print out a few pictures and make a cute card. There are a lot of creative ideas online on how to create one.
