This recipe is so simple (and healthy) that I’m sure it’s gonna make you forget about the frozen brunch aisle right away.
It’s just as fun to cook as it is to eat because what’s better than homemade food? This recipe is so simple and healthy that I’m sure it’s gonna make you forget about the frozen brunch aisle right away. With that said, let's get started!
Ingredients
2 cups of Flour
1/4 cups of Sugar
1 Cup of Milk
1 Egg
3 teaspoons of Baking Powder
1 teaspoon of Baking Soda
Sprinkle of salt
0.5 Tablespoons of Cinnamon
0.5 Tablespoons of Butter (Optional)
1 Tablespoon of Chia or Flax seeds
*Serves 4-5 People
Fluffy or thin. . .
The fluffiness of your pancake will depend on how much milk you put into your mix. With less milk, the mixture holds better, giving you a nice, fluffy pancake. If you want a thinner pancake, just add more milk.
Healthy Add-Ons!
Chia and flax seeds are a great way to get your source of omega-3 fatty acids and fiber. The nice thing is that they add no flavor to throw off the taste of the pancakes. Substituting syrup with honey is another healthy option. I also love adding bananas and strawberries on the side. Any fruit will do!
The pancakes should be ready to flip onto the other side when little bubbles appear on the surface. When both sides of the pancake are golden brown, it is ready to be served.
Enjoy! Ju bëftë mirë!
